I am soooo excited to share with you my 8 steps to manifest anything you want! These are the exact steps I use literally daily to attract and create the life of my dreams.
This post has been something I’ve been thinking about for a while but was hesitant to share it because I felt like I should stay within my “niche” and only write about healing your relationship with food and your body. But I’m over trying to put myself in a box; manifestation is something I am so passionate about and I want to share it with you.
And the really cool part is that manifesting was actually something that I was able to tap into wayyy more after making peace with food and my body. Once I finally let go of obsessing about food and my body all the time, I had so much more mental space for focusing on what I really wanted and what really mattered, which made manifesting so much easier. This is why the last step in my 8 Steps to Food Freedom framework, Reclaim Your Freedom, is all about using the space and energy no longer consumed by thoughts about food and your body to manifest the life of your dreams!

What is manifesting?
Manifesting is basically bringing something into your physical reality through your thoughts, feelings and beliefs. What we think, feel and believe, we attract into our lives. We literally have the power to attract and create everything we want in life whether its success, money, love, happiness, etc. And it all start with our thoughts, feelings and beliefs.
How to manifest anything you want in 8 steps:
Gratitude is step 1 for a reason. It has to be a daily practice in order for you to manifest anything you want. If you aren’t grateful for what you already have and what is to come, you are essentially closing yourself off from receiving more. Take a look at what you already have and notice how abundant you already are. Don’t forget to also practice gratitude for what is to come; this signals to the universe that you are open to receiving more of what you want.
When we’re grateful for what we already have and what is to come, we give off high vibe energy which attracts more of what we want in our lives. Instead, if we complain about what we don’t have, we give off negative vibes which creates resistance and closes us off from the manifesting process.
When I first decided that I wanted to start taking on 1:1 health coaching clients, I was SUPER attached to the outcome. I was DYING to make a sale and lost sight of my true mission which is to help women make peace with food and their body. I had so much resistance and couldn’t stop thinking about my lack of clients. I realized this clearly wasn’t working and I needed to do something about it. So I really worked on surrendering the outcome and trusting the universe.
I listened to a podcast on how to stop self-sabotaging and release resistance and did a meditation on manifesting. In the meditation, I visualized my new, ideal clients and got myself into the feeling of appreciation for them. I literally thought to myself “thank you universe for my new, ideal client”. I kid you not, 10 minutes after this meditation, I got an email confirming my very first client, who by the way turned out to be literally my IDEAL client. Gratitude really works you guys!!
Ways to practice gratitude daily:
- Make a list of what you’re grateful for. It can be super small things like sunshine or the delicious smoothie you made for breakfast. Or it can be bigger things like meeting your soulmate or attracting 10 new clients in your business. Make sure to include what you have already and what is to come (what you want to manifest).
- Say what you’re grateful for out loud. Maybe ask a friend or your partner to do this with you every morning or night and hold each other accountable.
- Shift from “I have to” to “I get to”. This tiny change in the words you think or say can instantly shift you into a state of more gratitude. Instead of saying “I have to go to work”, say “I get to go to work today”. You don’t have to do anything. Everything you do in your life is a choice, and using the words “I get to” reminds you of that privilege. Maybe you choose to go to work so that you can afford to travel and put food on the table for your family. When you look at things from the perspective of what you get to do, it reminds you why you’re doing it and shifts your perspective to appreciation instantly.
- Say “thank you” for the little things. Maybe when you grab a piece of clothing to put on say thank you for being able to afford this piece of clothing. Maybe when you sit down to eat, thank the people who created the meal or the ingredients.
Can you think of any other ways to practice gratitude that would feel good to you?
2. Make space
We can only manifest what we have the space to let in. How can you make more space in your life for what you really want? What are you holding onto that you need to let go of to make room for something new? Maybe old belongings that don’t bring you joy anymore, maybe unfulfilling relationships, maybe the clutter in your house, maybe limiting beliefs that are no longer serving you, etc.
For example, if you want to find your soulmate, you might need to leave the relationship that is no longer serving you or if you want to manifest a vacation, maybe you need to free up time on your calendar. If you want to make peace with food and your body, you might need to throw out your diet books, scale, etc.
You also want to work on uncovering and overcoming the limiting beliefs that are holding you back. Think about what’s been stopping you from getting what you want. Think about what you always complain about. This will likely clue you into the limiting beliefs you’re holding onto. How can you let go of these beliefs to make space for new, empowering beliefs?
3. Write and speak your desires into reality
Get really specific about what you want; try to visualize and feel it clearly every day. What does it feel like? What does it look like? How does it make you feel about yourself? What else is the experience like? You might be wanting to manifest a partner but what exactly in a partner do you want? What qualities does that partner have? You might be asking for money but how much money do you want? What will you do with it? You might be asking for better health but what exactly does that look and feel like?
Write down what you want and put it somewhere you can see it. Say it out loud. Tell people as if it’s already your reality. I learned this from my first photography mentor, Heidi. I hadn’t met her before but a friend connected us and we met up for coffee. As we were leaving she left me with one final piece of advice which was to start telling people I was a food photographer when they asked what I did for a living. At first this felt funny to me, but I gave it a shot. Fast forward to 1 year later and I became a professional food photographer and get to work with amazing brands that I absolutely love! Just seeing or hearing the words can help you believe them. And your beliefs attract your reality.
Another way you can write your desires into reality is by creating a manifestation box. You can get a little tin box (this is the one I use from Amazon) and you can even decorate it really cute if that gives you even more good vibes. Write down what you want to manifest on a piece of paper and put it in the box. I like to write what I want as statements of gratitude which would look something like “I am grateful for the 10 new ideal clients” or “Thank you universe for bringing me my soulmate”.

4. Surround yourself with positivity
Surround yourself with relationships that uplift you and reflect the person you want to become. Do things that bring you positivity and make you feel good. Maybe that’s meditating, reading, joyful movement, listening to podcasts, etc. Create an environment that brings you good vibes. Maybe diffuse essential oils, make your living space really clean and organized or put on some feel good music.
You are responsible for your vibes (your energy). Tune into what makes you feel good (raises your vibe) and what doesn’t feel good (lowers your vibe). Choose to do more of what feels good. If the people around you lower your vibe, make new friends. If social media brings you down, spend less time on it or cultivate a positive feed. You choose your vibe and you attract things that are a vibrational match to you.
5. Embody the version of you that already has it
Who do you need to be to have what you want? What do you need to believe about yourself to be true in order to manifest it? If you already had what you want, how would you feel? How would you act? What would you say/do/think?
Constantly ask yourself, what would the future version of me who already has this do/say/think? Then actually do those things and be that version of you now.
6. Take inspired action
What needs to happen in order for you to have what you want? Inspired actions aren’t just random actions; they are actions aligned with who you REALLY want to be and how you REALLY want to feel. What are the little steps you need to take to get what you want? What new habits and rituals can you practice that will help you align with what you desire? You can’t just dream and envision everything you want in your life; you have to take action. This shows the universe that you are serious and committed to having what you desire.
7. Surrender & trust in the divine timing
Can you surrender control to make space for what you want? Trust that if it’s meant to be it will happen, trust that the universe is conspiring in your best interest. See if you can hand over your desires to the universe, god, or whatever you believe in. Say this affirmation or write it down 5 times:
I am choosing to believe that the universe gives me exactly what I need at exactly the right time.
When you create from a place of confidence and gratitude, that’s when you’ll start to manifest what you want. Conversely, when you have really strict timeliness or obsess over the thing you want, you naturally create resistance because this energy is really stressful and negative. You have to let go and allow the magic to come in. I’m not saying let go in the sense of giving up, but more so be at peace knowing what you deserve and that your worth isn’t dependent on if you get what you want exactly as you planned it.
My favorite way to practice this step is to write down a daily intention or something I want to manifest every morning and then burn it. I just write on a sticky note or little piece of paper and then light it with a match and put it in a mason jar (PLEASE be careful if you try this at home…I am not a fire expert). The ritual of burning it signals to yourself and the universe that you are letting go of control and trust it will come to you when it’s meant to.
8. Cultivate awareness
You are manifesting all the time without even realizing it. Try to become aware of what’s showing up for you and what you are attracting into your life. Look around you and notice what you’re manifesting every day without even trying. The best way to do this is gratitude, which brings us right back to step 1. The more you become aware and grateful of what you are attracting, the more you can attract what you want.
I created a free workbook to help you put these 8 steps into practice. Download it here to start manifesting anything you want!
The more you practice these manifestation steps, the more natural and intuitive it will become. You’ll be constantly in the cycle of manifesting…constantly in a state of gratitude, constantly writing down and speaking what you want into reality, constantly surrounding yourself with positivity, constantly taking actions that align with your higher self, etc. It will start to become your way of being every day.
