Thanks for exploring my blog, Sunny Thymes. I hope it can serve as a guidepost in
your journey to a healthy relationship with food and your body.
Let me give you an idea of what Sunny Thymes stands for. I don’t subscribe to any diets. There are no “can’t haves” here. Sunny Thymes focuses on intuitive wellness: listening to your body to guide your food and exercise choices. It’s giving the hell up on self-control, so you have room for self-care and compassion. It’s about listening to and honoring your needs in a way that fills your soul.
Reading the book Intuitive Eating was an incredible turning point in my journey of healing my relationship with food and exercise. This book made me realize I still had room to grow and learn. Even though I had “recovered” from an eating disorder by time I went to college. Intuitive Eating shed light on my lingering disordered mentality and helped completely shift my mindset.
Having once lived by eating and exercise “rules,” learning to listen to and trust my body freed me to live a healthier lifestyle. As a result, my anxiety has decreased significantly, my hormones are finally in balance, and I’m able to enjoy and find satisfaction in food and exercise. Most importantly, I am so much happier.
Together, we can learn to follow our intuition and fuel our bodies with wholesome, balanced, and tasty foods. This is the body you will spend the rest of your life in; cherish, adore, and nourish it.
I’m currently enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) to become a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and will be qualified to start health coaching October 2018.
