I am obsessed with this Sun Dried Tomato Pesto Recipe. I never thought I’d find another sauce I love as much as traditional basil pesto. But, this one is just as good! Naturally though, I didn’t steer too far away from a typical pesto. This sauce has the basics like fresh basil and garlic. But, I added sun dried tomatoes and cashews to change it up.
I take the base of my pizzas very seriously and this is one of my favorites. In addition to more traditional pesto of course! I pretty much never use marinara sauce. For one, I really don’t think it tastes that good on pizza. And two, using sauces that have loads of flavor are sooo much better. - 10 fresh basil leaves
- 2/3 cup sun dried tomatoes
- 2 tbsp cashews
- 2/3 cup olive oil
- 1 tbsp goat cheese
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Combine all ingredients in a food processor until the consistency is like pesto.
